The Computational Literary Studies Research Group at the University of Bremen invites you to its hybrid lecture series in the winter term 2026/27, which also features talks on Victorian literature and culture (see attached programme). The research group explores and develops digital approaches and theoretical frameworks for the study of literature. Through its events, it aims to bring researchers together – particularly those based in and around Bremen – to pool existing knowledge, encourage methodological innovation and foster lasting collaborations. Whether you are already working on a digital humanities project or simply curious about applying computational methods to literary studies, you are very welcome to join. All sessions will be held in a hybrid format, both on site in Bremen and via Zoom, so you can participate even if you are not based in Bremen. For online participation, please sign up here. For more information, see the attached programme below.
A network bringing together scholars from the D-A-CH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) whose research and teaching focus is in Victorian studies. The network hosts bi-annual workshops, which provide insights into PhD, postdoc, and third-party funded projects as well as current publishing activities and which are open to academics of all career stages. In addition, the network organises an online reading group in which participants discuss recent publications in Victorian Studies.
