Our summer workshop this year will be another open-topic event, where members can present their current research projects. This half-day virtual workshop will take place via Zoom on Friday, 27 June 2025 (precise times to be confirmed). Next to new project presentations, this event will feature a panel discussion with Nina Engelhardt (Stuttgart/Klagenfurt) and Marlena Tronicke (Münster/Köln), who will share their experiences of finishing a Habilitation in (Neo-)Victorian Studies in the DACH region. There will also be occasions for informal socialising.
Our winter workshop will be hosted by Julia Ditter and Anne Korfmacher on the topic of "Literature and Medicine". Please also save the date, 5 December 2025, for this event. A CFP will go out in the summer.
If you would like to contribute a flashlight presentation to our seventh DACH Victorianists workshop, please send a brief email to both organisers by 14 April 2025. (Accepted speakers will be notified by 21 April 2025.) For more information, see the full CfP below.
We hope to see lots of you virtually at these events, and we look forward to continuing our conversations and collaborations across the DACH region this year!
DACH Victorianists is a network that brings together scholars from the “D-A-CH” region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) whose research and teaching focus on Victorian literature and culture. It offers a forum for academics of all career stages to present and discuss research and methodologies in Victorian studies. DACH Victorianists hosts bi-annual workshops, which provide insights insight into PhD, postdoc, and third-party funded projects as well as current publishing activities.
