Our summer workshop this year will be another open-topic event, where members can present their current research projects. This half-day virtual workshop will take place via Zoom on Friday, 27 June 2025. Next to new project presentations, this event will feature a panel discussion with Nina Engelhardt (Stuttgart/Klagenfurt) and Marlena Tronicke (Münster/Köln), who will share their experiences of finishing a Habilitation in (Neo-)Victorian Studies in the DACH region. There will also be occasions for informal socialising.
Our winter workshop will be hosted by Julia Ditter and Anne Korfmacher on the topic of "Literature and Medicine". Please also save the date, 5 December 2025, for this event. A CFP will go out in the summer.
We are very pleased to circulate the final programme for this workshop (see below).
We hope to see lots of you virtually at these events, and we look forward to continuing our conversations and collaborations across the DACH region this year!
A network bringing together scholars from the D-A-CH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) whose research and teaching focus is in Victorian studies. The network hosts bi-annual workshops, which provide insights into PhD, postdoc, and third-party funded projects as well as current publishing activities and which are open to academics of all career stages. In addition, the network organises an online reading group in which participants discuss recent publications in Victorian Studies.
